Nicaragua Cherry Microlot
Jose Francisco has a small farm with young coffee that is producing strongly. He is in the process of increasing the area of coffee cultivation of his farm, which is located more than 1,400 meters above sea level.
His farm is located in one of the prime coffee cultivating regions of Jinotega in a unique microclimate. It is at such a high altitude that his coffee is harvested a full two months after the rest of the country’s coffee due to the colder climate and increased cloud cover. Because of the colder climate, his coffee beans have a slower maturity rate, allowing them to collect more nutrients. The result is more complex cupping notes as well as denser, sweeter beans.
